This last November I was asked by Texas Parks & Wildlife magazine to photograph some of the wonderful scenic and traveled places in and around Nacogdoches. You can read more by visiting our current newsletter. Be sure to LIKE or forward to others.
It's always fun for us to share our passion and love for photography with other photographers. We were recently invited to speak and present to a group of leading photographers from all across the country held in Lawrenceburg Tennessee.
Daryl Sparks and I had a great time sharing about our studio and a philosophy we live by called "So Worth It!" Our clients see this philosophy in action by all the small but important ways we provide outstanding service, the creative and unique portrait products we offer, the amazing Victorian studio & garden, and much more!
Thank you Mac Brown Photography, H&H Color Lab and the other photographers for the invitation to come share!
The Goodman Bridge located on CR 789 a few miles off of FM 225 was built in 1929. Still standing and in daily use for over 81 years! Total length is almost 150 feet crossing the Angelina River and connecting Nacogdoches and Cherokee counties.

Behind the Scenes: G. Patterson Photographic Studio & Gallery.
After a working trip out of the country, I came back all jazzed up with some new creative ideas. With an amazing team of professionals, we were able to capture some of my vision.
So for our high school seniors, get ready for some new and amazing photos from G. Patterson Photographic Studio & Gallery, your Nacogdoches Professional Photographer.
It's hard to believe just a few short weeks ago the garden was under several inches of SNOW. We are excited that spring is just around the corner where our exclusive portrait garden comes alive in color. Spring is usually one of our busiest times of the year. Why not give us a call today to schedule your family or children's portrait.
With almost the entire EAST TEXAS area under 4 inches of snow, we managed to make it to work for our several family portraits scheduled! Thanks to EVERYONE that came Thursday and Friday. It was a blast!
At the end of the day, Daryl, Sammy and myself just couldn't help but to have a bit of fun. SO...please make our newest studio employee welcome by honking when you drive by....that is if he is still around. For some reason we think he may vanish.
I had the privilege to speak last night at the Nacogdoches Photographic Association meeting as their keynote speaker. They asked me to come share a little about being a professional portrait photographer, what I specialize in and about teaching photography at Stephen. F. Austin.
I gave a few tips on "What makes a Great Portrait" and shared a slide show featuring children and high school senior portraits. There were about 35-40 people in attendance, many with great questions. Pat Wallace, vice president of NPA said in regards to the program I presented, "We got a great response from our members!"
Thanks for the opportunity!
PS..As a photographic educator and professional in this field, I would be happy to entertain additional speaking engagements. Feel free to give me a call at 936.569.7116.
